BBBL Girls U14 Stage – Cēsis (Latvia)
From October 3–5, the city of Cēsis (Latvia) hosted the BBBL Girls U14 stage, bringing together talented young players from Latvia, Lithuania, Finland, and Poland.
The tournament featured two strength-based divisions – A and B, ensuring exciting matchups and competitive basketball throughout the weekend.
A Division Battles
The fight in A Division was fierce, with every team tasting defeat at least once, making it one of the most competitive stages of the season so far.
The tournament ended with three teams tied, and the final ranking was decided by points difference:
- Pomerania (Poland)
- BC Nokia (Finland)
- RSS Rīdzene (Latvia)
- TikS (Finland)
- VKM (Lithuania)
- RBS Pārdaugava/Kolibri (Latvia)
A Division Tournament Highlights
This stage marked a historic milestone — for the first time ever, a team from Poland joined the BBBL Girls competition.
Although Pomerania opened the tournament with a dramatic 1-point loss to Nokia, they bounced back in style, winning four games in a row and ultimately claiming the tournament title. Bravo girls!
Strong Effort from VKM – Vilniaus krepšinio mokykla (Lithuania)
The VKM team from Lithuania showed remarkable growth and resilience.
They challenged the top teams, losing by just 1 point to TiKs and 3 points to Nokia, the eventual second-place finishers. Their progress is evident, and their summer work with coach Lukas Danilevičius is clearly paying off.
B Division Battles
In B Division, the local team Cēsis (Latvia) delivered a fantastic performance, finishing 1st place in front of their home crowd.

This stage also marked a historic moment for Visagino krepšinio mokykla (Lithuania), as they earned their first-ever BBBL Girls victory in the girls’ category — a big step forward for the club and a proud moment for their community.
