BBBL Girls U16 – Cēsis, Latvia
From October 3–5, the city of Cēsis hosted an unforgettable weekend of basketball, as talented teams from Latvia, Slovakia, Lithuania and Sweden battled it out in the BBBL Girls U16 Stage.
This stage featured high-level games, intense finishes, historic debuts, and plenty of emotion on the court.
Slovan Bratislava Makes a Dream Debut
The team from Slovakia entered their first-ever BBBL stage and immediately made history by taking the Stage 1 victory.
Both Slovan Bratislava and RSS Rīdzene dominated their groups, winning all games and reaching the final undefeated.
The title clash was a real thriller, decided by just three points, with Slovan Bratislava emerging victorious in their debut tournament.
Kungsholmen Battles for Bronze
The Swedish team Kungsholmen showed strong character throughout the weekend, claiming third place after a tough and competitive game.
Centrs’ Dramatic Game-Winner
Centrs finished fourth, but their road to the top group was pure drama — they advanced thanks to a one-point win sealed with a game-winning shot in the closing seconds. A moment to remember.
