The wait is over - the first BBBL stage of the 2026/27 season is set to tip off next weekend with the U16 Boys age group taking center stage. This opening event will also serve as the first qualification stage for the BBBL SuperCup, adding even more excitement and importance to the competition.
A total of 16 teams will take part in the U16 SuperCup Qualifier. Before the action begins on the court, teams will be placed into four groups through an official group draw.
Following the draw, two qualification paths will be created:
• Path 1: Groups A + B
• Path 2: Groups C + D
Teams will first battle through the group stage before entering the playoff phase within their respective qualification path. At the end of the tournament, only the winner of each path will earn a ticket to the BBBL SuperCup.
Teams entering the draw - Uppsala (SWE), Mažeikiai (LTU), East-Ball (LAT), Ezerzeme-Rēzekne (LAT), Dolphins (SWE), AK VEF (LAT), BVBS (LAT), Kesklinna (EST), Sokud (EST), Ogre (LAT), Jelgava (LAT), Rakvere (EST), NKA (LTU), East-Ball 2 (LAT), Šiauliai (LTU), and Snaiperis (LTU).
