BBBL Boys first stages conclude with 255 teams from 15 different countries

The first stages of the BBBL 2025 season for boys in age groups U10–U16 have officially concluded, marking an exciting start to another dynamic year of youth basketball.

Over the course of seven stages, games were hosted in seven cities across Latvia, Estonia, and Poland:

* Rīga, Gulbene, Valmiera, Madona, Ventspils, and Mārupe (Latvia)

* Kääriku (Estonia)

* Komorów (Poland)

In total, a record 255 teams participated, representing 15 countries: Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Finland, Georgia, Germany, Poland, the Czech Republic, Sweden, Norway, Israel, Italy, Belgium, Armenia, and Ukraine. 

The first stages of the season were especially significant, as teams from Italy, Israel, Belgium, the Czech Republic, and Norway joined the BBBL family for the very first time, expanding the league’s international reach.

Throughout the stages, young athletes demonstrated outstanding skill, sportsmanship, and teamwork, embodying the spirit of BBBL basketball both on and off the court. From thrilling buzzer-beaters to new friendships formed between players of different nations, the first stage has set the tone for an exciting season ahead.

A new and innovative addition to this season is the BBBL Diagnostics program - a unique performance and development tool designed to help young athletes better understand their physical and technical readiness. Through structured testing and professional analysis, players and coaches gain valuable insights into individual strengths and areas for improvement, supporting smarter training decisions and long-term player growth.

Following Stages and BBBL SuperCup for U14 and U16 age groups!

Upcoming stages: January 9-11, Riga, Valmiera, Madona, and Klaipeda (U11, 2025); January 16-18, 2026, Riga U13 (2013). During the same weekend, BBBL will proudly host the following BBBL SuperCup stages, bringing together U14 and U16 teams from across Europe.

We are thrilled to welcome teams from Germany (Alba Berlin and Skyliners), Italy (OSA Milano), Israel (Maccabi Tel Aviv), Lithuania (Snaiperis, NKA, Šiauliai KA Saule), Poland (Pomerania), and Latvia (DSN, BS Riga & Rezekne). This historic event promises a weekend full of high-level basketball, international competition, and unforgettable experiences for all participants.
